In “About Bone Cancer” and in “Be Aware” sections the need for vital research in Britain is set out. Compared to when Guy was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 1997, it is true to say that there are several new research projects but most of them are “pump-priming”. Of course it is hoped that such projects will flourish into more substantial work which may lead to the “breakthrough” that will answer many of our Why? concerns.
But the need to find and fund new research projects must go on.
